Obama Voters Challenged For Answers

STAND UP FOR BARACKToday marks the 1350th day since the United States Senate controlled by Democrats has passed a budget.  The sad part is, most people either don’t know this or don’t care and the press is nearly silent on the issue.

While we burden our future with massive debt there is no budget in place to control or monitor financial affairs.  All fifty states have budgets and every major corporation operates with a budget because anything short of that would be considered risky and irresponsible.

Why is it that a majority of the voters approve of this lack of financial controls and irresponsible behavior?  Is it apathy, ignorance or endorsement?  Why should our nation continue to spend more than we are capable of paying for, without borrowing more money?

Please somebody that voted for President Obama can you explain your thinking, why do you want us to continue piling up debt with no budget?  Are you concerned about the future, did the financial downgrade of our nation not bother you?

The recent tax increase is actually only a drop in the bucket toward solving our problem and the spending reductions were not a worthy attempt at solving the problem.  Here let me see if I can explain this with numbers:

First some facts to provide us understanding:

U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Now those are big numbers so I am taking off the last eight zeros and bringing down the number to something that would actually look like an equivalent household budget.

Annual family income: $21,700
Money the family spent: $38,200
New debt on the credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
Total budget cuts: $385

If that was your family budget how would you feel about your future and the future of your children?  The sad news is, this is your country and it is your national financial future at risk.

There you have it a reflection of our national financial situation.  So here are my questions;

  1. Why do you believe we should be running the country without a budget?
  2. Why should we want to borrow more money and raising our debt to higher levels?
  3. Most states require a balanced budget, should we require the federal budget to balance?
  4. If the Senate does not pass a budget should they be allowed to run for re-election?
  5. If you voted for Barack Obama can you tell us why you believe in continuing to raise spending and the debt ceiling?  How will that help our nation?

Please help the rest of us out, tell us why this is good and why you support going down this road.  Please leave your comments below.
